| Discovered by the woman he lived with in his Tokyo appartement, hide was transported to the hospital. He was unfortunately confirmed dead before 9 AM. There was no writtings to explain what has happen, but the police officer still thought about suicide thesis. According to the investigation, hide was discovered hanging by the neck from a towel tied to his door knob. On this same morning, hide came back, almost drunk dead, with his younger brother. According to his girlfriend, he went straight up to bed. An hour later or so, she came back to check on him, that's when she noticed what was happening. hide was 33. Matsumoto was affiliated with the record company 'Universal Victor', one employee bewilderingly said: "I haven't heard anything of dying about breathing difficulties. He was doing okay, I don't understand." An employee of the music company 'Head Wax Organisation' stated: "I don't know about the circumstances of his death. Nothing comes to my mind." Funeral services has been held on May 7th 1998 at 1H PM, at the Chikuji Hongan Temple. The chief mourner was Mitsuru-kun. |

| This was officially announced that hide didn't commited suicide, but it was a really sad and dreadful incident. Lets explain it : because guitar players have to hang their guitars down for a long periode of time and also have to arch their neck while playing, they tend to have bad stiff shoulders. A 'popular' way of treating these stiff shoulders is to pull back the head, which is doing like a massage. Most of hide's friends confessed that he often did that kind of treatement at home, by hooking a towel at a door knob, to his neck. That morning, he came back home drunk, and did this massage. Unfortunately, he fell asleep during the 'treatment', smashed by alcohol... and never wakes up. He involontary strungle himself... Now, it's your turn to decide what truth you believe in. The night before is death, hide was invited at the Ms Mayuko Kishi Show. There, he talked about some plans for the future and dreams he wanted to realize. (Actually, hide had 2 big incidents in 1997. He badly broke his skull and ankles... because he was drunk. There are lots of stories about other troubles he went throught when drunk..) |
