October 25th 1996, X Japan on NHK 'Pop Jam'
M = Moriguchi Hiroko
Y = Yoshiki (X leader)
T = Toshi
H = hide
After a long wait, X Japan has arrived!  Nice to meet you all.
M -
Nice to meet you.
T -
First of all, what all fans are worried about is Yoshiki's physical condition.  We heard some shocking news during spring, but how are you doing now?
M -
Uhm, yeah... I'm still in rehabilitation.  I'm not playing any drums yet, but...
Y -
Oh, really?
M -
Yes.  I might start playing again in about a month or so...
Y -
So, your 'super man' like drumming is going to be in hold for a while?
M -
No, we've already set dates for a concert so...
Y -
Ah!
M -
So I'll force myself, (turns to Toshi) right? (hits Toshi's arm) - (Toshi just looks down and nods with a slight grin)
Y -
Ok, so... after 5 years, the new album is finished... I've heard that recordings sessions with X Japan are  nightmares, but what is it that make them that bad?
M -
Well, we can't compromise...  We get so into the recording that we can't get out of it.
Y -
Especially Toshi.
M -
Yes?
T -
I've heard that you, as a vocalist, took a lot of cares for the vocals, but how was it?
M -
Well...  really, uhhm.. (Yoshiki hits Toshi at an arm)
T -
What's wrong?
M -
If you would just listen to it...
T -
What kind of emotions did you put in this time?
M -
Well...  There were all sorts of emotions in it... throughout the 5 years...
T -
Like what?
Y -
Huh?
T -
The members are interviewing themselves... please continue.
M -
Iya iya... really...
T -
Which song do you like the most?
Y -
I'de like to ask that... that's something the fans would like to know.
M -
That's right.
Y -
Well, there really isn't just ONE song.
T -
Ahh... that's a hard question, huh?
M -
But if you had to choose...
Y -
Really uhhm...
T -
Just say something, anything.
Y -
On the other hand, was there a song that gave you problems?  Aren't there times when you could record a song easily, but there's just one song that doesn't go too well?
M -
No...  we're serious about everything.
Y -
Well, that makes us even more interested, but...  and uh, hide, it seems that you wrote a song too... what kind of song is it?
M -
H -
Yes? Uhh...
(quietly to Toshi)  He's like a guy at a fish market...
Y -
H -
What kind of song...?  It would be better if you'd just listen to it, but...  I think it was the last song we recorded, right?
Ah... the last song... yeah... the last one was hide-chan's song.
T -
I see...
M -
H -
We didn't realize it.
We didn't realize that it was the last song to record.
T -
H -
Yo'chan gave me a 'OK' phone call and so I told Toshi, 'doesn't that means you're done?', right?
Yeah..
T -
H -
(points Toshi)  You looked so happy then...
(to Yoshiki)  I have heard that after all the songs were done and that you have listened to it, you cried.
M -
You would cry if went through all the tings we did.
Y -
Was it out of satisfaction, or joy...?
M -
Well, I heard the album by myself... i had everyone leave the studio... even the engineers... in the beginning, I didn't think that the album was a big deal, that's before I heard it straight through.  But when I heard it straight through, tears came out of my eyes from around the 3rd song, and it didn't stops throughout the rest of the album.
Y -
I see... Ok, so please introduce the song from the album.
M -
Uhhm... (hits Toshi)  Toshi and Yoshiki persuade the others to introduce the song.
Y -
Uhm... Forever Love!
